Nikali's Chevron Blanket

My son is turning one in less than two weeks! I have been trying to come up with something that I could make for him that he could keep for years. Something that he can grow with. His dad liked the way chevron blankets looked but I didn't want it to just be a solid blanket. I wanted it to be something more special. This blanket is what I came up with.

Materials:

  • I/9 5.25 mm Crochet hook

  • 2 Balls of Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in Scuba

  • 2 Balls of Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in True Blue

  • 2 or 12 Stitch markers (If you have never worked a chevron before or something that has points I would suggest having a stitch marker for each point and your ends)

  • Yarn Needle

Gauge:

1 "V" = 5.5 inches (5 1/2 inches

6 rows = 1.625 inches (1 5/8 inches)

Finished Size:

To be announced

Abbreviations:

ch- chain

Sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

sk st(s)- skip stitch

st- stitch

ch sp- chain space

[ ] 6 x- do what is written in the brackets 6 times

Notes:

  • Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.

  • Ch 2 does not count as a stitch.

  • This pattern is something I am still working on so I cannot tell you a finished size yet.

Just continue this pattern to make your blanket.

As I have already said I have not finished making this blanket yet so I don't currently know how many rows I will make. You can make as many rows as you want. The rows for my blanket will be what makes the length of the blanket. Once I have finished making it I will update the pattern
